KORESAND - North Sea Coast

Koresand isn't about deep dives or rainbow reefs; it’s a proper piece of history you can touch, right there in the shallows of the North Sea. At just five metres, this old fishing vessel, now a classified dangerous wreck, is surprisingly accessible and absolutely full of character. We love how the shallow depth lets you really take your time, picking out details on the hull, feeling the chill of the North Sea even on a calm day. You'll spend your dive exploring the remains of the ship, its timbers and plating now a skeletal frame, beautifully colonised by kelp and anemones. It’s not uncommon to spot crabs scuttling over the rust, or schools of juvenile fish darting between the beams. Our favourite part is finding little surprises tucked away, like an old porthole, or a piece of machinery half-buried in the sand. It’s a site that suits divers who appreciate history and don't mind a chillier dip, offering a unique wreck experience that feels miles away from the usual tropical fare. Just remember, it can get silty, so plan your fin kicks carefully.
