LIS SUSANNE - North Sea Coast

The Lis Susanne wreck, sitting bolt upright on the seabed at 30 metres, is a fantastic dive for anyone wanting a proper North Sea experience. We love how intact she is, especially the wheelhouse, which still feels like a ship rather than a pile of scrap. Dropping down, you’ll often find a lazy current nudging you along her hull, where dense shoals of cod and pollock hover, unafraid of divers. Look closely, and you’ll spot colourful nudibranchs crawling across the deck plates, along with the occasional plump conger eel peeking out from a darkened doorway. Our favourite part has to be the stern, where the propeller is still clearly visible, usually draped in fishing nets, a stark reminder of her working life. It's a great spot for advanced divers comfortable with colder waters and a bit of current; the reward is a genuinely atmospheric dive.
