MINDE 4 - North Sea Coast

Minde 4 isn't about deep exploration or crazy drift dives. This is a shallow wreck, sitting at just 11 metres, making it perfect for those times you want a relaxed dive with plenty of bottom time. What we love about Minde 4 is its story, a victim of a mine in 1943, she's now a wonderfully broken-up collection of steel plates and machinery. You’ll find schools of cod and pollock circling the larger sections, often ducking into the gaps between the plates. Look closely amongst the debris and you'll spot crabs scuttling and blennies peeking out. The visibility here can be hit or miss, typical of the North Sea, but on a good day, when the sun filters through the green water, the wreck comes alive. Our favourite tip? Go on a slack tide, the currents can pick up, making it harder to appreciate the finer details of this historical site. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who enjoys pottering around a piece of history.
