NESTUN - North Sea Coast

Nestun, off the North Sea Coast, isn’t about colourful reef fish or balmy water. This is proper northern diving, a historical wreck that feels like a forgotten secret. We love coming here when the conditions are just right. The wreck lies at a manageable 16 metres, mostly intact, a real testament to its structure given the North Sea's temperament. You’re descending into a green-blue world, often with a bit of a chill, but the sheer size of the hull appearing through the murk is always a moment. Our favourite part is navigating the cargo holds, now home to some impressively large cod and often a grumpy wolffish or two peering out from the shadows. Barnacles and anemones cling to every surface, transforming the metal into a living reef. It's a site that really suits divers who appreciate history and the unique resilience of marine life in colder waters, a truly immersive experience if you’re prepared for the conditions.
