The North Sea might feel like a cold handshake compared to the Med, but sites like the *Paul Rosenberg* remind us why we love a bit of chill. This old fishing vessel, down since '74, sits upright and largely intact at 20 metres. We've explored it a few times now, and there's always something new to catch our eye. What makes it special? It’s the way the light filters down, even on a cloudy day, illuminating the deck, the mast still reaching skyward. You can fin around the wheelhouse, imagine the old crew going about their day. Shoals of saithe often hang above the wreck, swirling like a silver cloud, and we’ve spotted some decent-sized cod lurking in the shadows of the holds. Visibility can be a bit variable, so we always check the forecasts; a calm day after a few days of settled weather is our pick. This one's for divers who appreciate history and the quiet beauty of a wreck slowly becoming part of the seabed. Bring a good torch to peer into the deeper recesses – you never know what’s hiding in there.
