PETER VENO - North Sea Coast

The Peter Veno is one of those wrecks that just gets under your skin. We love how accessible it is, sitting upright in just 12 meters of water. It went down in 1951, a wooden fishing vessel, and time has been kind to it, weathering it into a skeletal form. You can trace its lines easily, the bow still points purposefully, and the stern rises a little, creating perfect nooks for life. We’ve had some cracking dives here, navigating through the holds where light filters down, revealing lobsters tucked into every crevice. Flounder often lie half-buried in the sand nearby, perfectly camouflaged. We’d suggest hitting it on a calm day; visibility in the North Sea can be a bit hit or miss, but on a good day, the Peter Veno truly shines, a quiet, atmospheric dive that reminds you of the sea’s power and grace. It’s perfect for divers who appreciate history and the gentle colonization of steel by nature.
