TOMMY KRUSE - North Sea Coast

The Tommy Kruse isn't about vibrant reef fish or huge pelagics. This is proper North Sea diving, a cold water wreck with a story, and frankly, a bit of an edge. She was a fishing vessel, went down in '76, and now sits upright at 21 metres. Our favourite thing about this wreck is how intact she remains. You can still make out the superstructure, the deck, even the general shape of a trawler, which is surprisingly rare for a wreck of her age in these waters. We love exploring the wheelhouse area; it’s collapsed a bit, but there’s enough structure to poke around, and the resident cod and scorpionfish seem to like it too. Visibility can swing dramatically out here, so we always check the forecast for settled weather; calm seas usually mean better light penetration. This site is for divers who appreciate history, the eerie quiet of a sunken ship, and don't mind a chillier dive. It’s a proper wreck experience, not a pretty one, but genuinely rewarding.
