TRAFIK - North Sea Coast

TRAFIK isn't about deep blue or big pelagics. This is a shallow wreck, barely 4m down, right off the North Sea coast. We love it for its sheer accessibility and the way it brings history to life. You’re diving a historical wreck, a dredger that went down sometime last century, and the experience feels incredibly tangible. Swim around the remains, noticing the heavy machinery still bolted to the deck. It’s rusted, of course, but the scale of the thing is still impressive, even broken up. Expect the visibility to be typical North Sea – sometimes 10m, sometimes 3m, so bring a good torch. The marine life here is mostly the small, tenacious kind. Crabs scuttle in crevices, and we’ve seen some decent flatfish hunkered down in the sand nearby. It’s an easy dive, perfect for a relaxed afternoon, and we’d suggest timing it for slack tide to avoid any unnecessary faff. A great site if you’re into exploring metal and imagining the stories behind it.
