ULLA RU 116 - North Sea Coast

Diving the ULLA RU 116 isn't about grand coralscapes or endless visibility. It's about a moment in time, frozen and surprisingly intimate. This shallow wreck, sitting in just 3 meters of water, is a chilling reminder of the North Sea's wartime past. We love how accessible it is, yet still carries that tang of history – a Danish fishing vessel, lost to a mine. The wreck itself is scattered, largely broken by time and the elements, but that just adds to its character. You’ll find twisted metal plates and timbers, slowly being reclaimed by the North Sea. It's a fantastic spot for macro photography and we’d suggest going at slack tide for the best conditions and minimal sediment disturbance. Look closely amongst the wreckage; crabs scuttle through the debris, and small blennies peek from crevices. It’s not a deep dive, obviously, but it’s a profound one, offering a direct, tangible link to a different era. We wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for big pelagics, but for a thoughtful, historical dive, it's brilliant.
