WINNIE - North Sea Coast

Diving the Winnie is a proper North Sea adventure, a real taste of Denmark's wreck heritage. This old fishing vessel sits upright at 16 metres, perfectly accessible for most divers who are comfortable with colder water and a bit of current. We love how intact she is, not just a pile of rubble. You can make out the wheelhouse, the hold, and even parts of the rigging. It’s an honest, working wreck, covered in dense clumps of dead man's fingers and anemones that pulse gently in the surge. Look closely for the small scorpionfish tucked into crevices and the blennies darting between plates. Our favourite detail is the way the light filters down through the green water, giving everything a wonderfully eerie, ethereal glow, especially on a calm day. We’d suggest heading out on an incoming tide for the best visibility, but be prepared for a bit of a workout against the current if you linger too long. It’s a proper wreck dive, moody and memorable, without being overly challenging.
