Aquatis Dive Center - Canary Islands
The team at Aquatis Dive Center are our go-to for diving in Lanzarote, especially if you’re keen on SSI. We've spent a fair bit of time with them and they just get it. They strike that perfect balance between professional and genuinely fun. They’re excellent for getting your Open Water or even pushing through to Divemaster, with instructors who genuinely love teaching, not just ticking boxes. We particularly love their morning trips out to Playa Chica. Getting there before the crowds is key, especially if you want to see the resident angel sharks still a bit sleepy on the sand. The vis there is usually pretty good, 20 metres isn't uncommon, and the light filtering through the water feels almost tangible. After the dive, the vibe back at the centre is always relaxed; you can share stories over a coffee without feeling rushed. They’re also great at spotting the smaller stuff, like nudibranchs, if you ask. If you're looking for a centre that feels like diving with friends, but with all the proper safety and structure, Aquatis is a solid choice.
