Promenade Point - Bay of Islands

Small Wall is one of those places on Klein Bonaire we just keep coming back to. It’s not about huge pelagics here, though a turtle or two will often glide by. This site is all about the little things, and it absolutely shines for photographers. The wall itself is indeed small, running from around 12 meters down to 24, but it’s packed with texture and color. We love drifting along, eyes peeled for Cherub Pygmy Angelfish darting into crevices, or a tiny Spinyhead Blenny peering out from its coral home. Look closely at the Yellow Pencil Coral; we’ve spotted more than one Red Clingfish tucked in there. Visibility is usually excellent, around 20-25 meters, making it easy to just hang suspended and watch Caribbean reef squid change colors as they hunt. Because it’s a boat dive, currents can vary, but it’s often a gentle drift. We’d suggest going slow, really slow, and having a good dive light to make the colors pop. It’s an easy, relaxing dive that leaves you feeling refreshed.
