DAMIEN - Tobago

Damien is a funny one. When we first heard "wreck site, 3 metres," we pictured something busted up and uninteresting. But this little motor vessel, just off the coast, really surprised us. It’s barely deep enough to get your fins wet, but the light penetration is incredible, painting the whole scene in bright, clear blues. The wreck itself is a modest 21 metres, but she’s pretty intact, offering some genuinely interesting swim-throughs if you’re comfortable squeezing into tighter spaces. Our favourite bit is exploring the bow, where schools of sergeant majors flutter in and out of the rusted metal. Look closely, and you’ll spot tiny blennies peering from every crevice, plus the usual assortment of crabs and cleaner shrimp doing their thing. It’s not about big pelagics here; it's about the small, intricate world that’s made this shallow wreck its home. It’s a lovely, relaxed dive, perfect for a long bottom time, photographers looking for natural light, or anyone wanting a gentle introduction to wreck diving without the usual depth anxiety.
