First Lady - Tobago

The First Lady wreck, scuttled back in 2017, already feels like it’s been down there forever. It’s sitting upright in just 11 metres of water, so it’s an ideal second dive or a long, leisurely exploration for those with less experience. We love that it’s such a complete structure, not just scattered pieces. You can swim through the main salon, past the bar area, and poke around the cabins, imagining the parties that went on here. Even in its relatively short time on the seabed, the First Lady has become a proper artificial reef. Look for the clouds of silversides shimmering around the superstructure, constantly harassed by jacks and barracuda darting in for a meal. Nurse sharks often snooze under the bow, and we’ve seen eagle rays glide past in the blue. Our favourite is exploring the wheelhouse, where the steering column is now encrusted with sponges, and schooling snapper shelter inside. It's a proper playground, and we often find ourselves doing multiple laps, always spotting something new.
