LOUIS M MORAGES - Tobago

The Louis M Morages wreck isn't deep, topping out at a shallow four metres, but we find it utterly captivating. It's a wooden schooner, scattered across the seafloor, and that splintered, broken nature is what makes it so interesting. Sunlight dances through the water, illuminating the various timbers and the way they’ve settled, creating little nooks and crannies. We love drifting slowly, tracing the outline of what was once a hull, imagining the ship in its sailing days. It’s an ideal spot for anyone who enjoys wreck diving without the depth, particularly photographers who can really play with the light. Look closely at the decaying wood, and you'll spot sergeant majors zipping between the planks and small parrotfish grazing on algae. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for a long, relaxed exploration, letting the details of the wreck reveal themselves. Sometimes, if you're patient, a hawksbill turtle will glide by, perhaps even pausing to inspect the wreck themselves.
