RIKANAU & ESSO 606 - Tobago

The Rikanau and Esso 606 are a paired wreck site, a tug and a barge sunk together in 1988 off Tobago. We often find this spot a bit hit or miss with conditions, but when it’s good, it’s a solid dive. The tug, Rikanau, is usually the more intact of the two, with some interesting penetration opportunities for those with the right training, while the Esso 606 barge is more broken up, creating lots of nooks for fish. Look for nurse sharks tucked into the shadows and barracuda patrolling the mast. It's a relaxed wreck dive, good for divers who enjoy poking around history without deep currents.
