WOODBROOK - Tobago

Woodbrook is one of our favourite shallow wrecks in Tobago, a really surprising little dive. The old dredger, sunk back in ’79, sits upright in just 3m of water, making it perfect for an extended bottom time or even a serious snorkel. We love how light plays through the skeletal superstructure, illuminating schools of French grunts and snapper that have claimed the interior. You can easily swim through the open cargo hold and peer into the engine room, often finding a nurse shark tucked away. It’s a photographer’s dream, especially on a bright afternoon when the visibility is at its best and the wreck’s rusty reds and oranges pop against the blue. This is a brilliant site for newer divers getting comfortable with overhead environments, or anyone who enjoys exploring history that’s now teeming with life. Just keep an eye on boat traffic, as it’s close to shore.
