Table Top - Bazaruto Archipelago

Vunavadra Nursery is one of those dives we’d suggest if you’re looking for something gentle, a really easy shore entry, and a chance to slow right down. It’s perfect for a late afternoon dip or a checkout dive. Maximum depth is about 9m, so you’ve got plenty of time to poke around. Our favourite part here is the actual coral nursery itself. Seeing the fragments growing, suspended like little chandeliers, gives you a real sense of purpose. It’s quite serene. Around the bommies, you’ll spot plenty of squirrelfish and cardinalfish, darting into the shadows. We’ve had some cracking encounters with blennies perching on the coral, watching us with their curious eyes. Look out for cowries too, often tucked away in crevices. Visibility averages around 11m, which is decent for a shallow site, giving you clear views of the restoration work and the resident reef life. It’s a quiet, reflective dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who appreciates the smaller details and the effort going into reef conservation.
