Stollis Divecenter - Medes Islands

The team at Stollis Divecenter are the kind of people you want to dive with. They’re no-nonsense, incredibly welcoming, and run a super efficient operation right on the jetty in L’Estartit. We love that you’re straight onto the boat and out to the Medes Islands in minutes, which means more time underwater. Stollis is ideal if you’re looking for a relaxed, family-friendly vibe and easy access to the marine park. Their boats are spacious, and we’ve always found the guides to be attentive and genuinely enthusiastic about the local marine life. Our favourite dives here are the caves, especially La Vaca, where the light plays through the openings, illuminating schools of huge barracuda. On the outside reefs, look for the enormous groupers that cruise the walls; they’re surprisingly curious. We’d suggest going early in the morning to beat the crowds, particularly in summer. The visibility averages 15-20 metres, and the water is warmest in late summer, hitting around 25°C. You might encounter some mild currents, but nothing too challenging.
