ANU - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving the Anu on Scotland's East Coast is a different kind of wreck experience. This steamship met its end in 1944 after hitting a mine, and at just 7m, she’s relatively shallow. We’ve found the wreck scattered, testament to that explosion, but the bow and stern sections are still distinct. Look for wolf fish tucked into crevices and the usual suspects like crabs and lobsters making homes in the metalwork. It’s a site that suits divers keen on history and those who appreciate how nature reclaims even the most violent of human interventions. Visibility can swing, so we’d suggest picking a calm day for the best view of her remains.
