ESKDENE - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Eskdene isn't for the faint-hearted, dropping to 60 metres, but for those with the training, it’s a proper dive. We love the feeling of descending into the darkness, knowing this freighter has sat here since 1917, a testament to the North Sea's power. The wreck itself is largely intact, especially amidships, offering plenty of overhead environments for qualified divers to explore with care. Look for resident ling lurking in the cargo holds and conger eels snaking through the collapsed deck plating. It's a challenging dive, often with a pushy current, but the rewards are significant; a truly historical experience where you can almost feel the past. Our favourite part is navigating the bridge section, imagining the ship in its prime, now completely given over to the sea.
