HMS NORDHAV II (POSSIBLY) - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving the Nordhav II is an exercise in deep, dark exploration. We love the mystery surrounding this wreck; the "possibly" in its name just adds to the allure. Dropping onto her at 59 metres, the visibility can be fickle, but when it’s good, the sheer scale of this trawler is impressive. You’ll find her upright, largely intact, with her single boiler and triple expansion engine still prominent. The wheelhouse structure has collapsed somewhat, but the bow and stern sections offer plenty to poke around. We’ve spotted conger eels tucked into shadowy corners and massive squat lobsters scuttling across the plates. It’s a dive best reserved for experienced technical divers comfortable with overhead environments and limited light. Come prepared for cold water and potential currents, but the sense of history down there is palpable, a true glimpse into a wartime past.
