IGOR - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Igor, a steamship that went down in 1918 after springing a leak, sits deep at 58 metres off the Scottish coast. This isn't a beginner's dive, requiring solid deep diving experience and gas planning, but for those with the skills, it’s a rewarding trip. The wreck itself is a substantial 78-metre vessel, mostly intact, with machinery still recognisable. We often find wolf fish lurking in the shadows and lobsters making homes in the deeper sections of the hull. Visibility can be hit or miss, typical of the North Sea, but on a good day, the scale of the Igor really comes into view. It’s a dive for wreck enthusiasts who appreciate the challenge and history of a deeper site.
