KAREN - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The KAREN, a wooden schooner that met its end in 1940 after a hold explosion, sits in a shallow six metres off the Scottish East Coast. She's broken up now, but you can still make out her general form, particularly the keel and ribs which offer plenty of nooks. While no specific species are logged, we've found crabs scuttling amongst the timbers and small wrasse darting between the planks. It’s a gentle dive, perfect for newer wreck enthusiasts or a relaxing second dive, with light currents making for an easy drift over her remains.
