OCEAN HARVEST - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Ocean Harvest is a little beauty, especially if you appreciate a wreck that’s properly settled in. She went down in 2001, so there’s been plenty of time for the sea to reclaim her. We love how intact she is, a real picture with her stern sitting proud. You can drop down to around 40m, right onto the deck, which is usually thick with plumose anemones, their white tentacles swaying like feathery fans. What makes her a standout for us isn't just the wreck itself, but the life that’s made it home. Ling and conger eels are often tucked into the deeper nooks, and we’ve spotted massive edible crabs scuttling around the collapsed wheelhouse. Visibility can be a bit hit or miss, typical for the East Coast, but when it’s good, the light plays through the structure beautifully. Our favourite is exploring the winch gear on the bow; it’s just covered in encrusting sponges and small nudibranchs. Definitely one for the experienced cold-water wreck diver who appreciates an atmospheric dive.
