RINGHOLM - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Ringholm, a steamship torpedoed in 1917, lies at around 35 metres, a proper delve into WWI history off the Scottish coast. She's a dangerous wreck, as the official classification states, which means you’ll want to be on top of your game and well-practised in overhead environments before you drop in. We’ve found her to be quite broken up, but there's still plenty of structure to explore, with sections of hull and machinery scattered across the seabed. Look for the resident conger eels, they seem to appreciate the shelter, and if you’re lucky, some of the larger lobsters have made homes in the deeper crevices. It’s a dive for those who enjoy a bit of a challenge and the quiet contemplation of a forgotten piece of maritime past.
