ROYAL FUSILIER - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Royal Fusilier rests at 39 metres, a casualty of a 1941 German air attack while on its way to Leith. She’s a decent sized steamship, around 88 metres long, and lies on her side, offering a good chance to explore the superstructure. We’ve found her to be a proper wreck dive, with plenty of entry points if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. Shoals of saithe and cod often hover around the deeper sections, and we usually spot wrasse picking through the shallower bits of the hull. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and don't mind the chill of Scottish waters, a solid technical dive rather than a coral garden.
