RUBY - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Ruby, a barque that now rests off the Scottish East Coast, offers a solid, accessible wreck dive. We typically find her in relatively shallow water, making her a good option for divers still gaining confidence with wreck penetration, or those who simply enjoy a longer bottom time exploring her structure. You can trace the outline of the hull, which is still quite defined in places, and we’ve often spotted conger eels tucked into the darker corners, alongside plenty of wrasse darting between the plates. It’s not a deep dive, but the sense of history is palpable, and it’s a site we frequently return to when we’re after a relaxed afternoon in the local waters.
