SAGA (POSSIBLY) - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The SAGA, a steamship torpedoed in 1918 by UB-64, rests at 36 metres off the Scottish East Coast. She's a big girl, and while time and fishing gear have taken their toll, you can still discern the triple-expansion engine and the single boiler. This is definitely a dive for those comfortable with deeper wrecks and the often-brisk conditions of the North Sea. Expect to share the site with plenty of ling and conger eels, tucked into the more sheltered parts of the hull, along with schools of saithe that swirl around the superstructure. We think it’s a rewarding dive for those who appreciate maritime history and the slow reclamation of steel by the ocean.
