SCARLET CORD II - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Scarlet Cord II, an old fishing vessel that met its end on Pan Rocks in 1979, isn't a deep dive, sitting essentially at 0m. What you’re looking at here is a thoroughly broken-up wreck, more scattered debris across the rocks than an intact hull. Think of it as an intertidal exploration, best at low slack tide when you can properly investigate the remains. Crabs and small fish shelter amongst the twisted metal, and it’s a good spot for newer divers to get a feel for a wreck site without any real depth challenges. It’s a glimpse into the raw power of the North Sea.
