SCEPTRE - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Sceptre, a fishing vessel that went down in 1973, sits just half a mile west of Dunbar Harbour. We’ve found her to be a nice, accessible dive if you’re in the area and fancy a look at some local history. While she’s not a massive wreck, the remaining hull and superstructure offer enough nooks and crannies to explore. Expect to see plenty of local crabs scuttling about and a good collection of anemones clinging to the metalwork. It’s a decent choice for divers who appreciate a shallower wreck and the chance to observe how the local marine life reclaims these structures.
