SISTERS - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving the Sisters, a schooner that went down in 1832, is a peek into maritime history on Scotland’s East Coast. It’s a shallow dive, just 5m, making it approachable for most divers, though conditions can be nippy. What's left of the wooden hull is now a skeleton, but it’s surprisingly atmospheric, with crabs scuttling over the timbers and small fish darting through the gaps. We’ve found the best time to explore is on a calm day with good light, as the visibility helps to pick out the wreck’s details against the silty bottom. It's a great choice for those who appreciate history and aren't chasing big pelagics.
