SWIFTLY - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The *Swiftly* might not be a behemoth, but for a 5.5m fishing vessel, it’s a surprisingly engaging little wreck. Sunk in 2007 when its prop fouled and damaged the stern gland, it now rests in a shallow 6m, easily accessible for most divers. We’ve found the GRP hull well-colonised by local critters, often spotting crabs scuttling over the remains and small fish darting in and out of the structure. It’s a nice, easy dive, perfect for photographers wanting to practice on a compact wreck, or for anyone keen on a relaxed potter around a piece of local history. The shallow depth means plenty of light, even on a cloudy Scottish day.
