THRIVE - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The trawler *Thrive* rests at 60 meters, a solid dive for experienced cold-water wreck enthusiasts. Sunk in 1946 after a mine incident between Bass Rock and the Isle of May, she’s a steel vessel with a triple expansion engine, now nicely collapsed but still identifiable. We’ve found her to be a great spot for spotting a range of local fish, like wrasse and cod, along with plenty of anenomes and hydroids coating the superstructure. The depth means you'll want to be comfortable with advanced diving techniques, but for those with the training, it’s a rewarding look at a piece of maritime history.
