U 12 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Dropping down to 45 metres on the U 12 is a real journey into history. This German submarine, sunk in 1915, rests upright on the seabed, its hull largely intact despite a century underwater. You can trace its length, imagining the cramped conditions for its crew, and we’ve found decent lobsters and some sizable conger eels tucked into the torpedo tubes and broken sections. The deeper location means clearer water than some of the shallower Scottish sites, making it a good choice for experienced wreck divers looking for a moody, contemplative dive.
