UC 41 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving the UC 41 off the Scottish East Coast offers a real glimpse into wartime history. This German U-boat, sunk in 1917, now rests at 22 metres, largely intact. You'll find yourself gliding over its deck, where schools of pollock often mill about, and crabs pick their way through the corroded metal. Penetration is probably out for most, but exploring the conning tower and the mine-laying tubes provides plenty to see. It’s a good, solid wreck dive, perfect for those with some cold water experience who appreciate maritime heritage.
