WANDERER - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Wanderer, she’s a shallow one, often right at the six-meter mark, making her a perfect second dive or a relaxed day out when the tides are playing nice. We love heading out on a calm day, slipping into the chill Scottish water to find her spread across the seabed. You’ll spend your time exploring scattered remains – ribs of the hull, sections of deck machinery, all pretty broken up but full of character. It’s not about penetration here, it’s about the atmosphere and the life that has claimed her. Look closely and you’ll find crabs scuttling amongst the plates, their claws waving from under rusty overhangs, and we’ve often spotted lobsters tucked into crevices. The kelp sways gently over the wreckage, casting dappled light, and sometimes you’ll see shoals of pollack or wrasse darting between the fronds. She's a fantastic spot for photographers who love close-ups and the moody light, and for newer divers looking for a bit of history without the depth. Just remember, a slack tide makes all the difference for a comfortable dive.
