Wreck of British Prince - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Wreck of British Prince is one of those dives that sticks with you, a proper piece of maritime history sitting on the seabed. We love how the hull has broken open in parts, letting you peek into the cargo holds. There’s a particular section midships where the light filters through, creating these eerie shafts, and you’ll often find conger eels lurking in the deeper shadows there. Exploring the British Prince feels like stepping back in time, with the ship's structure still largely intact, despite the decades underwater. Keep an eye out for the resident wolfish, we often spot them tucked into the more sheltered parts of the wreck, almost camouflaged against the encrusted metal. Our favourite part has to be the stern, where the prop shaft housing is still visible, drawing the eye down into the murk. It’s a dive that rewards slow exploration, best suited for those who appreciate the story a wreck tells. Conditions here can be changeable; we always check for minimal surge and a rising tide for the clearest water.
