Wreck of Bull - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Bull is one of those wrecks that really gets under your skin. We love it because it feels like a proper piece of history, resting upright on the seabed with its bow pointing north. You’ll find the Bull's structure relatively intact, a stark contrast to some of the more fragmented debris fields we often encounter in these waters. Drop down onto the deck and you can pick out the anchor chains, still laid out, and the sturdy capstan. For us, the real magic happens in the engine room and the hold area. The Bull is a cargo ship, and though the cargo is long gone, the space itself is cavernous and offers plenty to explore, especially if you’re comfortable with overhead environments and have good buoyancy control. We’ve spotted conger eels tucked into the darker recesses, and the superstructure has become a home for large wrasse and schools of coalfish. Dive on a slack tide, if you can, to really appreciate the scale and the silence. It’s an experience that suits divers who enjoy a bit of penetration and appreciate the tangible history of a wreck.
