Wreck of Egholm - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Egholm, just off the Scottish East Coast, is one of those wrecks we keep coming back to. It’s a proper ship, not just scattered debris, and feels truly historic as you descend. We love how the hull still forms a distinct shape, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around in. You’ll find cod and ling often sheltering in the deeper sections, and smaller wrasse flitting between the rusted plates. The visibility here can be challenging, but on a good day, when the light penetrates, the sheer scale of the Egholm is impressive. It’s an ideal dive for those who appreciate the quiet dignity of an older wreck and aren't afraid of a bit of murk to earn their reward. We’d suggest a slack water dive for the best experience – less current means more time to really explore the structure.
