Wreck of Fiery Cross - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Alright, let's talk about the Fiery Cross. This isn't one of those wrecks where you're just staring at a pile of scrap. Oh no, the Fiery Cross offers proper penetration, and that’s what we love about it. You can push deep into the engine room, exploring the boilers and machinery that still stand, eerily intact. It’s dark in there, of course, proper Scottish diving, so a good torch is essential, maybe even two. As you explore, keep an eye out for the resident ling and conger eels – they’re everywhere, peeking out from every nook and cranny. We’ve had some cracking encounters here, particularly with the ling, those curious old souls. Our pick for the best conditions would be a slack water dive, ideally on a neap tide, to minimise any surge that can whip up the silt inside. It's a dive that rewards careful planning and good buoyancy, definitely one for experienced wreck divers who enjoy a bit of an adventure rather than a scenic potter.
