Wreck of Frigga - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Frigga holds a special place for us, a proper Scottish wreck dive that delivers character in spades. Dropping onto her bow, you’re immediately struck by how intact she is for a century underwater. We've often found ourselves exploring her cargo holds, still full of their original payload of bricks and tiles, which is a rare treat. The visibility here can be… well, it’s Scotland, so it varies. But on a good day, when the light penetrates, the sheer scale of the Frigga is impressive. What we really love about this site, though, is the marine life that's made it home. Ling and conger eels are common residents, often peeking out from behind the twisted metalwork. We’ve had some great encounters with massive ballan wrasse here too, bold as brass and not shy about checking you out. It’s a site that rewards multiple dives; you’ll always spot something new tucked away in a crevice. This is a wreck for those who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of a chill; bring a drysuit and a good torch, you'll want both.
