Wreck of Mimmi - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The *Mimmi*, a small cargo vessel, isn't just another lump of metal on the seabed. She's a proper little time capsule, sitting upright and surprisingly intact, which we love. We've spent many a dive poking around her holds, imagining the cargo she once carried. You'll often find conger eels peering from dark corners and a good scattering of lobsters tucked under plates. The best dives here happen on a slack tide, when the current drops and the visibility, usually around 5-10 metres, settles down nicely. Our favourite part is dropping into the engine room, a tight squeeze but worth it to see the machinery still in place. It’s a site that suits divers who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of a chill; the water here is properly bracing, even in summer.
