Wreck of Plethos - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving the Plethos isn't about tropical colours. It's about history, cold water grit, and a proper sense of adventure. We love the way she sits, often shrouded in that beautiful, murky green typical of the Scottish coast. You drop down, and the wreck slowly materialises from the gloom, usually around 20-30 metres, though conditions vary wildly. Our favourite part is exploring the stern, where the prop shaft is often visible, a real testament to her working life. Keep an eye out for conger eels tucked into dark corners; they’re often bigger than you expect. This isn't a dive for beginners, currents can be strong, and the visibility demands solid buoyancy control. But for experienced wreck divers who appreciate a challenging, atmospheric dive, the Plethos offers a truly rewarding experience, a real piece of maritime past beneath the waves.
