Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 102134 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Scottish East Coast wrecks always hold a certain allure, and the Unnamed Shipwreck, Canmore 102134, is no exception. We love coming across these historical time capsules, especially when the conditions line up. Dropping down onto the site, you immediately feel the hush of the North Sea; it’s a quiet, humbling experience. The wreck itself is quite broken up in places, but you can still make out the ribs and plates of what was once a sturdy vessel. Our favourite parts are exploring the more intact sections, where sections of deck machinery are still recognisable, now encrusted with orange and white plumose anemones that sway gently in the surge. Look carefully, and you’ll often spot feisty velvet crabs scuttling amongst the debris, or a curious conger eel peeking from a dark recess. This site is best for experienced cold-water divers comfortable with variable visibility and colder temperatures, offering a true taste of maritime history.
