Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 195242 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck – Canmore 195242, or as we like to call her, the "Ghost Ship of the Forth," offers a dive steeped in history and an eerie beauty. Dropping onto her remains, you’re greeted by a skeletal hull, largely broken but still holding enough shape to hint at her past. Visibility here can be a moody beast, often a green haze, but on a good day, the light filters through, illuminating the resident conger eels that peer from shadowed nooks and the playful nudibranchs that pepper the surrounding debris. We love exploring the scattered ribs of her frame, imagining the stories she could tell. It’s a dive that rewards patience and a good torch, perfect for those who appreciate the quiet drama of a historical wreck rather than vibrant coral. Our favourite moments are often spent tracing the outline of her collapsed bow, watching crabs scuttle across rusting plates. The currents can be a factor, so we'd suggest timing your dive for slack water to truly savour the atmosphere. Don't expect tropical colours, but do expect a dive that connects you directly to Scotland's maritime past.
