Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 96666 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Canmore 96666 shipwreck, an unnamed vessel resting off the Scottish East Coast, is one of our favourite dives for a real taste of history. It’s not about bright colours here, it’s about the stark, dramatic beauty of ironwork draped in anenomes, a silent testament to a forgotten storm. We love the challenge of navigating through the gloom, watching our torch beams pick out details – a collapsed mast, perhaps, or the ghostly outline of a boiler. This wreck suits divers who appreciate exploration over coral gazing, those who find beauty in decay and the relentless march of the ocean reclaiming its own. You'll often find ling and conger eels peering from the deeper crevices, and the sheer number of squat lobsters clinging to the metal is always impressive. Best dived on a slack tide, obviously, to avoid fighting the infamous Scottish currents, and make sure your buoyancy is spot on to avoid stirring up the fine silt that often settles here.
