Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 96700 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving a wreck off Scotland’s East Coast is always an adventure, and this unnamed shipwreck – Canmore 96700 – is a cracking dive for those who appreciate history and a bit of a challenge. We love the mystery of it, a vessel lost to the North Sea, now home to a surprising amount of life. Visibility can be hit or miss, typical for the region, but when it’s good, you’ll find sections of the hull still standing proud, draped in dead man’s fingers and various anemones. Keep an eye out for inquisitive wrasse darting in and out of the plating; they’re often bold here. This isn't a dive for coral gardens or tropical fish, but if you're into the eerie beauty of an artificial reef taking shape, you'll be well rewarded. We’d suggest timing your dive around slack water to avoid strong currents, which can pick up quickly here. It’s a dive that rewards repeat visits, offering new perspectives as the light shifts and different parts of the wreck reveal themselves through the gloom.
