Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 96720 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Diving an unnamed wreck always carries a certain mystique, doesn't it? This particular site, Canmore 96720, off the Scottish East Coast, really leans into that. We've spent a fair bit of time poking around here, and what we love most is how the wreck has just become part of the seabed, a living reef now. You’ll find yourself navigating through the skeletal remains of a forgotten vessel, the metalwork draped in dead man's fingers and anemones, which just glow under the torchlight. Visibility can be a bit of a lottery, as it often is up here, but on a good day, it’s remarkably clear, allowing you to really appreciate the scale. The real draw, for us, is the resident conger eels – some of the biggest we’ve ever encountered, peering out from every nook and cranny. We've also spotted plenty of wrasse darting between the plates, and the occasional inquisitive seal often makes a pass. This site is perfect for those who appreciate the history beneath the waves and don't mind a bit of a search for the treasures it holds. We'd suggest timing your dive around slack water; it makes exploring the interior much more enjoyable.
