Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 96725 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Unnamed Shipwreck, Canmore 96725, isn't about tropical fish or shallow reefs. This is a proper dive for proper divers, one of our favourite Scottish wrecks for its sheer mystery and the way it’s been reclaimed by the North Sea. We're talking substantial ironwork, the skeletal remains of a cargo vessel, draped in dead man's fingers and anemones. Dropping down onto the main deck, you’ll find yourself navigating through ribs of rusted steel, with schools of coalfish often swirling around the larger plates. It's an atmospheric dive, often with that classic green hue of temperate waters, but the visibility here can genuinely surprise you on a good day, opening up views along the length of the hull. We love exploring the cargo holds, sometimes finding remnants of whatever she was carrying – imagine trying to piece together her story down there. This is a site for the experienced, for those who appreciate the silence and the history, and who don't mind a bit of a current. Look for the massive conger eels that have made homes in the deeper sections, they're always a highlight.
